Community
Helpful YouTube Videos

- Supernote Nomad : Indexing Files For Quick Access (24 min) (The cool stuff starts at the nine minute mark)
- Supernote: Project Planning Magic (26 min) (The cool stuff starts at the two minute mark)
Sideloading Apps
NOTE: I side-loaded apps using my Mac, I installed the Nook and Libby apps and they work great. These instructions are primarily to remind me what to do for myself or to help others, so they aren't complete and assume you're looked at the references below.
References: Reddit post, Brandon Boswell's YouTube instructions,
- Enable the Sideloading toggle on the SuperNote: Settings | Security & Privacy | Sideloading
- Connect the SuperNote to your Mac with the original SuperNote cable
- Download the desired APK files from ApkMirror or similar — CAUTION: I don't recommend everything on this site, there are some files made by reputable people and there's a lot of garbage. There's also a lot of adds that look like the interface, use only the links in the official sections. If you're not sure how then I'd skip it. Brandon does have some "good" links to APK files on his youtube videos. I tend to trust those.
- I find the install to work best if the APK files are on the desktop, I also simplify the file names to simple things like libby.apk, etc. because I don't want to type out the original file name
- Open the Mac terminal
- Install brew (one time)
- brew install android-platform-tools (one time) installs ADB (Android Debug Bridge tool)
- Change directory to the Desktop
- Commands:
- brew update - checks for updates
- brew upgrade - completes updates
- which adb - verify adb is in your path
- adb devices - show the connected device the Supernote will look something like: SN078C67816111 device
- adb install libby.apk
- adb help - lists available commands
- adb detach - detach from the device
Load and use templates on your SuperNote
Templates are one of the great features of the SuperNote. You can add your custom templates to the MyStyle section of your SuperNote.
Nomad A6x2 Template Size: 1404 px by 1872 px. or 4.865" x 6.22"
Upload a template using the Supernote desktop app:
- Browse to the desired folder: MyStyle
- Select Import
- Browse to the desired file
- Select Home Page gray squiggles.png
- Select Choose
- Select Sync in the top navigation
On the SuperNote
- Select Sync from the top pull down menu
- Go to a note and select the three dots from the top menu
- Select Templates
- Select Customization
- Search or browse for the file
- Select it and it will become the template for the page
- Now you add or delete whatever you want on top of it and it won’t mess with your work.
- You can also favorite (with the little star in file view) your key templates so it’s faster to find them.
Other notes
- I added a lot of templates at first to try things but then as I don’t like them I remove them.
- A lot of people use Canva to create templates (and then move them to the device as outlined above)
- You can also use the app to create cool looking version of what you would draw, but more polished
- Set the dimensions to 1404 px by 1872 px
- You can also search for things like "a6x2 daily planner”, "a6x2 recipe”, etc.
- Many are free
- The pro templates require a subscription
- I usually get a free one or just get ideas by seeing what’s out there.
